Abstract

The importance of this research lies in presenting a modern educational framework for developing basic scouting skills, moving away from traditional methods that rely on rote learning or mechanical execution. It also aims to enhance students' practical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are essential in scouting situations. Furthermore, it connects learning to teamwork through the nature of the TASC model, which emphasizes the importance of social interaction and working within a group. This contributes to the development of school scouting curricula by introducing modern educational models that have proven effective in various educational fields. The research problem: With the emergence of modern educational models such as the TASC model, which is based on active thinking in a social context, it has become necessary to determine whether applying this model can address this deficiency, give students a more active role in learning basic scouting skills, and develop their ability to perform practically and interact within a team. The aim of this research was to identify the impact of the TASC educational model on students' learning of some basic scouting skills. After applying the experimental method and utilizing a sample of first-year students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, the most important conclusions were reached: the TASC educational model is an important model for developing thinking and problem-solving skills and enhancing students' learning of some basic scouting skills. The most important recommendation was to adopt the TASC educational model because it is an important model for developing thinking and problem-solving skills and enhancing students' learning of some basic scouting skills.
