The Impact of Technologically Incorporated Learning into Students' Artistic Gymnastics
Main Article Content
Abstract
The researcher seeks to clarify the importance of learning using learning technology in developing skills and encouraging the student to express and defend his ideas, in addition to stimulating memory, understanding ideas and memorizing them at a high rate. It also helps in using technology and activating its role in education and helping the student to reach realistic solutions to complex problems, especially since gymnastics is one of the complex sports that needs new educational strategies and methods of learning. It is considered one of the sports that is characterized by continuous development in the level of performance, the difficulty of skills, and the emergence of many new and innovative movements. Therefore, we are in dire need of keeping pace with this development in order to keep up with the international trend in this field. This has required a great development in the methods and means of teaching so that students can perform skills of high difficulty. Basic skills on the floor apparatus are among the most important skills upon which the teaching of high-difficulty skills in the future depends. In light of the above, the importance of the research emerged through providing easier educational conditions and helping professors reduce the burden on them through the use of learning technology in the mastery of some skills in artistic gymnastics for female students. This research aims to develop exercises using learning technology to improve the mastery of certain artistic gymnastics skills among female students and to identify the impact of these exercises on the students' skill development. It also aims to determine which group—the experimental group and the control group—achieves the best results in mastering these specific artistic gymnastics skills. The experimental method with an equivalent groups design was used on a sample of (30) female students from the second stage in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (15) female students for the experimental group and (15) female students for the control group, who were randomly selected from among (150) female students, and through statistical treatments. The research concluded that exercises prepared using learning technology have a significant impact on the mastery of certain artistic gymnastics skills among the research sample. These new methods play a crucial role in helping students understand and solve complex problems through learning, thus enabling them to choose exercises and curricula that suit their abilities and develop their skills, movements, and knowledge. The researcher recommended adopting exercises prepared using learning technology to master some skills in artistic gymnastics for female students, as it proved effective in the current study and its application to other activities. It is necessary for teachers in physical education colleges to be familiar with and understand learning technology strategies, given their importance in achieving better learning outcomes, and to enlighten students on how to use these methods so that they can choose the appropriate method for them and draw a future picture through it, and make them able to understand their current ways of thinking.
