Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effect of an educational program using the DribbleUp digital application on the high dribbling skill among basketball players at Kirkuk Talents School, and to determine the post-test differences between the experimental and control groups. The researchers used the experimental method with two equivalent groups, as it suited the nature of the research problem. The research population consisted of 46 players from Kirkuk Talents School for teaching and developing basketball skills. A sample of 20 players was intentionally selected and randomly divided into two equal groups: experimental and control, with 10 players in each group. In addition, 10 players participated in the pilot experiment. The educational program lasted seven weeks, from 23/12/2025 to 8/2/2026, during which the instructional units were actually implemented for six weeks because of a temporary one-week suspension. The program included three instructional units per week, for a total of 18 units, with each unit lasting 45 minutes. Both groups were tested before and after the program to assess the motor performance level of the high dribbling skill in basketball. The data were processed using SPSS. The results revealed statistically significant differences in favor of the experimental group. The researchers concluded that the educational program using the DribbleUp application was more effective than the educational program based on the commonly used methods in developing the high dribbling skill in basketball.
