Abstract

The core problem addressed by this research lies in the clear discrepancy between the immense potential of fitness technologies to improve students' physical and mental health and their limited use in the educational process of higher education institutions. This problem manifests itself in weak motivation towards traditional physical education, the technological gap in educational practice, and the absence of integrated applied models. The research aims to design and standardize a scale for fitness technologies in the educational process of higher education institutions, identify the level of use of fitness technologies (such as smart applications and wearable devices) in the educational process of higher education institutions, and identify statistically significant differences in the level of use of fitness technologies in the educational process of higher education institutions according to the gender variable (male-female). The researcher used a descriptive approach with correlational relationships. The research population consisted of 530 male and female students, representing 36.66% of the total student population. The results of the current research revealed a general positive trend among higher education students towards using fitness technologies in the educational process. A high percentage of students possess basic skills in using digital technologies, reflecting their readiness to use these technologies without the need for intensive training. Statistically significant differences were found between males and females across all dimensions of the scale, with males scoring higher in the four positive dimensions (self-efficacy, perceived benefit, ease of use, and attitudes and motivation).
