Evaluation of Dietary Habits and Their Relationship to Some Physiological Variables for School Teachers in the City of Soran

Abstract

   The importance of the research was to know the level of dietary habits of middle school teachers, and the research aimed to measure the dietary habits of school teachers in the city of Soran and to know the type of relationship between dietary habits and each of the physiological variables under study and by gender, and the original research sample was chosen by the intentional (intended) method. Of the preparatory schools for the academic year (2016-2017) in the city of Soran, and their number was (100) teachers and schools representing a percentage of (25%) of the total research community, which numbered (393) teachers. Results: The levels of dietary habits of the research sample were not at the required level but acceptable, and the level of dietary habits for females was greater than for males, and there was a weak inverse relationship between the levels of dietary habits and each of (the number of heartbeats, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and the number of breathing times, forced vital capacity, and body mass index.
