The effect of complex skill exercises according to tactical positions in developing defensive performance in football

Abstract
The aim of the research was to identify the extent of the impact of complex skill exercises according to tactical situations in developing defensive performance. The researchers used the experimental method to suit the nature of the study, as the research sample was the players of Al-Minaa Club, junior category, for the season (2023-2024). The exercises used in the special preparation stage were applied using the medium and high intensity method and repetitive training divided into the training curriculum set by the researcher. We concluded that the use of complex skill exercises according to tactical situations has a positive impact in raising the level of players. We recommended the necessity of benefiting from complex exercises according to tactical situations on young players.
