The Effect of Using Peer Teaching Strategy on Learning the Chest Pass Skill in Basketball for Students Aged 10-12 Years
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the effect of peer teaching strategy in learning the skill of chest passing in basketball for students. The researcher used the experimental method in the style of the control and experimental groups, as the research sample was primary school students. He also used a modern strategy that differs from the strategy followed previously, with an analysis of the differences between the pre- and post-tests of the experimental and control groups. The researcher concluded that the development achieved in the level of students in the experimental group was due to the continuity and commitment of students to the educational units in addition to following the principle of gradual learning of the skill. The researcher recommended emphasizing the importance of using the peer teaching strategy because of its positive effect in increasing students’ desire to continue performing.
