Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify the effect of using exercises with sensory stimuli on focusing attention and accuracy of stabbing in foil for students. The researchers used the experimental method to suit the nature of the research problem by designing a single experimental group with pre- and post-tests. The research sample was third-year students at the University of Basra/College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The researchers concluded that the exercises used with auditory and visual stimuli have a positive effect on improving focus of attention in foil for third-year students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra. The researchers also recommended paying attention to such exercises during the process of learning basic skills in fencing, and that they have a role in educational programs.
