Psychological Resilience and Its Relationship with Social Skills Among Some Students of Salahaddin University

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the level of psychological flexibility and social skills among some students of the Department of Physical Education / College of Education Shaqlawa / University of Salah al-Din. For the academic year 2023-2024, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach using the correlational method to suit the research problem and its goal. The research community consisted of some students of the four stages in the College of Education, Shaqlawa / Department of Physical Education / University of Salah al-Din, numbering (100) male and female students. The researcher chose (10) students from each stage randomly, i.e. (40) male and female students to represent the research sample. The researcher used, in addition to scientific sources and references, the scales (psychological flexibility and social skills) after they had proven their psychometric properties through the exploratory experiment. Then the researcher conducted her main experiment to reach the inspired results and after interpreting them, she concluded that the students of the College of Education, Shaqlawa / Department of Physical Education / University of Salah al-Din enjoy a high level of psychological flexibility and social skills. She recommended the need to pay attention to psychological flexibility and enhance it, as well as social skills for their role in building the personality of students and their interaction in society.
